Before any service begins, we have a free consultation in your home to meet you and exchange all the necessary information. Our pet pros are people in your community who have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds. They are passionate and 100% dedicated to the safety and and well-being of our client’s furry friends. Many of our Pet Pros have been lifelong dog walkers, vet techs, shelter volunteers, Humane Society advocates, and much more!
Yes! Trust and safety are our top priorities. We only select the best-of-the-best to become a part of our team. We thoroughly vet and interview all our pet pros on dog-handling experience to ensure you get top quality people you can trust, and feel comfortable with walking your dog. All walks, boardings, and sittings are insured and bonded through liberty mutual insurance.
Yes, you will have the same walker each day who will be introduced to you during our initial consultation. Back up walks are provided by either the owner or another local walker who you will have met beforehand.
If you have more than one dog in your household, we will walk all of them together upon request. Each additional dog in your household is $5 extra per walk.
We provide pet services services on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day upon the availability of our pet pros. We charge an additional $5 per visit on these holidays. Barking Trails is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
No problem. You can note any special needs arrangements your dog requires and explain them during the meet and greet.
Barking Trails dog walks are priced based on the walk length. We offer 15, 30, 45, and 60 minute walks. Our rates range from $15 – $30.

Yes, please have 2 copies of your house key available for us before we begin services. One key will be for the walker and the other key will be stored as a backup key. We would prefer to use a lockbox or garage door if available.

Absolutely. Barking Trails is committed to creating a community of trust and transparency. Your home is protected up to $1,000,000 when you book a Barking Trails dog walking or sitting service.
We are unique in being very easy going about cancellations. You have untill 9am to cancel a scheduled walk. At that point you will be charged. Otherwise, we generally do not charge for cancelled walks.
